IdeaStudio is a design and creation software product. Its main features include account registration and login, profile settings, connecting our devices, creating on the app canvas, sending your creations to connected devices for printing or making, subscribing to or purchasing content, saving favorite content, submitting feedback, communicating with customer support, and basic logs and crash processing necessary to keep the Product secure and stable.

This Policy applies to your use of the features and services of our Product (including PC and mobile software) and other services provided by us that are linked to this Policy.

Please read this Policy carefully before using the Product. If you do not agree with this Policy, you may stop using the relevant features. If certain necessary information, such as account, device connection, payment, logs or security information, is not provided, we may not be able to provide the relevant services to you.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data only for the purposes described in this Policy and to the extent reasonably related to providing services, performing contracts, ensuring security, complying with law and improving the Product. The categories include:

3.1 Account Registration and Login Information

When you register, log in or manage your account, we may collect:

  2. password or encrypted/hashed password information;
  3. verification codes, verification status and verification time;
  4. account ID, user ID and login status;
  5. registration time, login time, login IP address and login device information;
  6. password reset, password change and security verification records.

Purposes: to create and manage your account, verify your identity, enable login, protect account security, and prevent fraud and abuse.

3.2 Profile Information

When you complete your profile, we may collect:

  1. nickname;
  2. avatar;
  3. personal signature or bio;
  4. other profile information that you voluntarily provide or upload.

Please do not upload sensitive personal data, other people’s personal data, unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights in your nickname, avatar, signature or other public or semi-public areas.

Purposes: to display your profile, personalize your account experience, support project management, identify your account for customer support, and manage your account.

3.3 Device Connection Information

When you connect IdeaStudio with our devices or compatible devices, we may collect:

  1. device model, device name, device serial number or device identifier;
  2. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB or other connection status;
  3. device firmware version, software version and device status;
  4. device binding, unbinding, connection, disconnection and error records;
  5. information related to device compatibility, connection quality and print/making status.

Purposes: to bind and connect devices, identify devices, send works to devices, troubleshoot device connection issues, maintain device compatibility and support secure operation.

3.4 Canvas Creation and Project Information in the Product

When you create on the IdeaStudio canvas, we may process:

  1. works or project files you create, edit or save on the canvas;
  2. content you use;
  3. canvas editing operation records, such as adding, deleting, moving, scaling, grouping and saving states;
  4. project name, creation time, modification time and save status;
  5. images, files or other content you upload or import to the canvas;
  6. information related to project syncing, saving, restoring and error handling.

Purposes: to provide canvas creation, project saving, work editing, content use, project restoration, device printing, feature optimization and error troubleshooting.

You are responsible for the content you upload or create. Please do not upload unlawful or infringing content, sensitive personal data, other people’s personal data, or content you have no right to use.

3.5 Device Printing and Operation Logs

When you send your creation to a connected device for printing, cutting, embroidery, heat pressing, drawing or other making operations, we may collect:

  1. print/making task information;
  2. task start time, completion time and failure time;
  3. connected device information;
  4. task status, error codes, failure reasons and retry records;
  5. print/making parameters and content compatibility information;
  6. operation logs and error logs.

Purposes: to send works to devices, complete printing or making tasks, troubleshoot issues, improve device compatibility, keep the Product secure and stable, and prevent abnormal use.

3.6 Subscription, Purchase and Paid Content Information

When you subscribe to content, purchase content, use a Free Trial, automatic renewal, AI benefits or other paid features, we may collect:

  1. subscription plan, billing period and subscription status;
  2. Free Trial start and end dates, auto-renewal status, cancellation date and expiration date;
  3. purchased content, purchase time, order number, transaction amount, currency, taxes and discounts;
  4. payment channel, such as Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play or another payment channel;
  5. payment status, refund status, payment failure, chargeback, duplicate charge or re-credit records;
  6. invoice, receipt and billing information;
  7. entitlement activation, content unlocking, subscription entitlement verification and usage records.

We generally do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or complete payment credentials. Such payment information is usually processed directly by Stripe, Apple, Google or another payment service provider.

Purposes: to process payments, subscriptions, automatic renewals, individual purchases, content unlocking, entitlement verification, cancellations, refunds, billing, invoicing, anti-fraud and customer support.

3.7 Favorites and Content Preferences

When you favorite content or use content library features, we may collect:

  1. favorite content IDs, categories and tags;
  2. unfavorite records;
  3. basic records of browsing, clicking, searching and filtering content;
  4. content use, adding to canvas, unlocking or purchase status;
  5. usage preferences related to recommendations, ranking and entitlement verification.

Purposes: to provide favorites, history, content search, content management and product improvement.

3.8 Feedback and Customer Support Information

When you submit feedback, contact customer support or file a complaint, we may collect:

  1. your contact information, such as email address and account ID;
  2. issue descriptions, screenshots, attachments and project information you submit;
  3. customer support communications;
  4. device information, order information and log information;
  5. complaints, refunds, appeals, infringement complaints or dispute materials.

Purposes: to respond to your inquiries, handle complaints and refunds, troubleshoot issues, improve the Product, handle disputes, and protect the legitimate rights of users and us.

3.9 Crash Processing, Security and Logs

To keep the Product operating securely and stably, we may automatically collect:

  2. device model, device identifiers, operating system, system language and region settings;
  3. app version, desktop software version and browser type;
  4. launch, shutdown, crash, freeze and error logs;
  5. access time, feature use status and network status;
  6. security logs, abnormal access, login failures, payment anomalies and API errors;
  7. anti-fraud, anti-abuse, account sharing, automated access or abnormal behavior detection information.

Purposes: to keep the Product running properly, locate and fix errors, prevent fraud, protect account and payment security, prevent unauthorized access, enforce copyright and content license rules, and improve product stability.

If you use our website, desktop software or app, we and our third-party service providers may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, device identifiers or similar technologies to maintain login status, enable security verification, process payments, analyze crashes, perform basic analytics, optimize features and improve user experience.

5.1 Performance of a Contract or Pre-Contractual Steps

To provide services you request, such as account registration and login, account management, device connection, canvas creation, project saving, printing tasks, subscriptions, content purchases, AI benefits, payments, cancellations, refunds and customer support.

For tax, accounting, invoicing, consumer rights, regulatory requirements, dispute handling, compliance recordkeeping and other obligations we are legally required to comply with.

Such as Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play, card networks, payment gateways, anti-fraud service providers and settlement institutions, for payment processing, subscriptions, automatic renewals, receipts, refunds, payment failures and transaction verification.

6.2 Cloud, Technical and Data Service Providers

For account systems, data storage, content delivery, log analysis, crash analysis, security monitoring, device connection, entitlement verification, customer support systems and system maintenance.

To support device binding, device connection, firmware compatibility, print tasks, troubleshooting and secure operation.

10. How Long We Keep Your personal data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, tax, accounting, audit, dispute resolution, regulatory requirements or legitimate business needs.

  2. works, canvas projects and profile information are retained while you save them or while your account exists, unless you delete them or lawfully request deletion;
  3. device connection and print task records are retained for the period necessary to provide services, troubleshoot issues and ensure security;
  4. subscription, order, billing, invoice, payment and refund records are retained for the period necessary to satisfy tax, accounting, audit and legal requirements;
  5. customer support, complaint, refund, dispute and rights complaint records are retained for the period necessary to handle the matter and defend potential disputes;
  6. crash logs, security logs and operation logs are retained for a reasonable period necessary to maintain security, troubleshoot issues and prevent abuse;
  7. where deletion is required by law or you lawfully request deletion and there is no lawful basis for continued retention, we will delete or anonymize the relevant personal data.
